Meet our exhibitors ...

Our exhibitors are skilled and entrepreneurial women who have moved to Canada leaving behind their past and stepping into the future. Participating in the International Food and Craft Fair is their way of earning an extra income while sharing their love for food and crafts from their homeland. You will find each booth labeled with the name of the country they represent. We will put together additional facts about the countries for your information. The vendors will be dressed in their traditional costumes. Even though they might seem shy at first and maybe their accents are bit difficult to understand you will find that they are very happy to share anecdotes about life in their countries of origin. In alphabetical order the countries represented in the upcoming fair are:
  • Afghanistan A small eatery located on Duckworth St. serves fixed meals. The Faqiri family business can trace its beginning to the International Food and Craft Fair in 2000. They continue to support the fair and will be offering traditional Afghan dishes like beef kabab, chicken curry and bolani.
